About

jesse_lozano4I’ve always held a passion for games, and video games in particular. I’ve been playing them since I was 6, and and wanted to make them since I was 14.

on-top of games, I have been a consumer of lots of different types of media (movies, TV shows, anime, visual novels, you name it), all of which, in some way or another, has fueled my passion to create.

In making games, I’ve found several areas that I am particularly drawn too. Prototyping, and scripting in general always come to me like I’m trying to solve a puzzle, and trying to figure out how to make what kind of system or mechanic I want come to life is extremely fulfilling. Speaking of mechanics & systems, there is that raw joy of making systems like you see in RPG’s, and making odd or new ones is always a delight. Finally, making level’s is just one of those nice low energy tasks that I can easily devote hours too.

I’m a bit of an artist as well. Not industry level by any means, but I am self taught and have been sketching & doing line-art work for almost a decade now, and I do think I can/have whipped up a few things of professional quality. I generally do people & figure drawings, but overall I like keeping my skills to a level I can convey any of the ideas I want, if not through words, thru sketches. I’ve also recently taken up a little bit of 3D modeling, in part for quick and easy level white-boxing, but I feel it may grow from there given how fun it is to do.

When it comes to what I want to make, I’ve always been motivated by areas I felt, as a once avid consumer, were lacking in the industry. This was from games of a range & scope above indie but below current AAA game trends, to games (and other media to be fair) failing to capture certain aspects of the human condition that I know I & many others have lived with, to simply wanting to see colorful stunning worlds.
