You play as Zack Kuroneko, a 20-something college grad living out his days, day to day with his boyfriend of 3 Years, Spencer Waters. One day, however, Zack begins to notice some weird things about himself. strange wants and feelings. the sun feels so nice to lay in, and the birds look all to fun to chase. Zack has become a Werecat!

My Boyfriend’s a Werecat is comedic little story concept I’ve had in my head for years, that in 2018 I decided to turn into a short little visual novel. however, as I started working on it, this little game very much expanded in scope. Not so much on a technical level, but in terms of content. This is because, on top of being the sole writer and lead designer, I am also the head artist. I have made most of the art from the game, from the sprites, to the CGs (Custom Graphics), to the UI. Only the backgrounds were outsourced to another artist. and because I am the one in charge of the making the art, I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to go whole hog on the art. The free Demo I released in 2020, which covers only roughly 1/12th of the full story, probably has more CGs in it than most fully released VNs on the market!
The large amount of art, plus the length of story I want to cover, made me reevaluate things, 3+ year of unfinished development later. so in early 2022, I decided to restructure what I have and release MBaW! as an Episodic Visual Novel, with Episodes releasing as they are finished.
